Me again with a few more questions:
As for the .2cc of 1mg/ml - it's now .2cc of 5mg/ml twice a day to start. Should I ask about a maximum dose in the beginning to "shock" her system or should I start at this level and wait and see. Someone told me they have used a FULL cc of the pediapred twice a day, for a couple of days and then resumed a lower level. Is that safe?
Is there any significant reason to use prednisolone (spelling?) rather than Prednisone? Is it safer for the liver?
Also I know ferrets like the cold, but is that true of sick ferrets? I have brought Melissa's cage to the second floor because it is warmer.
Also - due to possible infection or something seen in her lung, the vet put her on amoxi-drops. I am asking her for Carafate to use with pepto, since she is grinding her teeth when eating and I fear her ulcers have come back. Someone mentioned Biaxin and Carafate work well together - should I ask to be switched to biaxin rather than stay on the amoxi-drops?
I have to say thank you to everyone who has replied to my posts. I don't know when I have been THIS tired! 2 weeks ago I just rescued another from the shelter 2 weeks ago (dog #6) and things are a bit hectic here! Lisa
