There are many websites devoted to adrenal disease in ferrets, and I
recommend checking them out. Briefly, anything from hair loss to behavioral
changes (aggression, mating behavior), muscle loss, weakness, especially hind
leg weakness, weight loss, swollen vulva in females, enlarged prostate in
males causing urinary problems to ferrets that have no overt symptoms of the
disease, but have palpable masses on physical exam. Other signs such as
anemia can also occur.
