After adrenal surgery, a year-long symptom free happy period, then gradual
(over a period of about 6 months) hair loss until almost bald from the
shoulders down, we got my 6 1/2 year old baby girl a Lupron shot early in
December. We had already resolved that a second surgery wasn't an option,
since she has heart disease, but we couldn't really afford
Lupron. However, she began to be obviously uncomfortable. So, we finally
got the shot.

I was afraid it wasn't working because it took so long for her hair to come
back in, but now I realize that I was looking for her to "turn blue" and
she didn't, so I missed the early signs of her hair regrowth. She didn't
turn blue because she's very "blonde" (don't really know another way to
describe the color -- blonde really does it pretty well) now. And she's
got her blaze -- a real defining feature of her personality -- back! I'm
such a happy mommy.

Her skin looks so much better and she is so much happier and less
uncomfortable less and itchy and less just plain frantic. So I just wanted
to give out a big YAY and sing the praises of Lupron! :-) I don't know how
long she will be with me, but I'm sure being greedy with these new moments
where she's more like her old self.
