Since last post got more information on blood work. Her PVC did drop to 11%=
(15% on Tues/29% before surgery). We talked about a blood transfusion earl=
ier on but the doc says she doesn't even know if she could because she had =
a hard time finding a vein just to get the tests done. I think it may have =
dropped because of a little more blood drawn yesterday. I know this is extr=
emely low but she actually is not ghostly pale white. She actually has a li=
ttle pink in paws. Nose looks ok too. I haven't looked at gums myself but v=
et did she is pale pink. She got a shot of pred .8 IM and hi-vite drops yes=
terday at the vet. She got another dose of pred last night and more hi-vite=
drops. Same thing this morning. She said there did appear to be some regen=
eration (the nucleated blood cells) I asked about Epogen but not sure witho=
ut transfusion that with the time it takes to work it would be beneficial. =
We are hoping the hi-vite will be helpful in encouraging red blood cell pr=
oduction. Hopefully the pred will slow the progression of the abnormal cel=
l growth. Her Lymphocytes were at 73% which is a bad thing right? Neutroph=
ils were at 27%, nucleated RBC was 6%, WBC count was low (no number on shee=
t) T.S. is 5.2 (6.2 before surgery), Target cells 1+, and Howel Jolly Bodie=
s 2+. This seems to be an indication of Leukemia or Lymphoma yes/no? So at=
this point not sure if anything can be done just trying to get PCV level u=
p hopefully. Mike Janke posted so what do you think now Mike or any doctor =
that may see this. She is still eating well and hanging in there going to b=
athroom on own etc... So any more suggestions or comments would be helpful.=
