Subject: Adrenal ferret with Insulinoma - part 2

I accidentally hit send before i was finished with my email, so here's the
end of it......

The vet thinks that we now have a combination of Adrenal with Insulinoma, and
probably a UTI on top of it. Based on the weight loss, unstable gait, fur
thinning, and general lack of energy, etc..

We can't do surgery for the right adrenal gland as it's too involved with the
vena cava. But with her general poor health right now and given her history,
would pancreatic surgery for the insulinoma be an option, or would I just be
risking what little life she has left? This is a really hard decision to
make. And I'm just not sure what I should do. Her cagemate is being
regulated with meds for his insulinoma and doing great, but he doesn't have
adrenal problems. What are the 'odds' for survival/recovery in a ferret with
insulinoma and adrenal problems with surgery versus management with meds??
Thanks for any help you can give me.
