Actually, I have seen this happen where one ferret's claw punctured the
cornea of another ferret's eye. There was no other possible way for this guy
to have been injured (no other animals, they were in one of the Marshall's
playpens with absolutely no sharp objects within reach).

Certainly a cat is a more likely culprit, but it can happen.
