I received a letter from a woman who has an insulinomic ferret who has
heard of the benefits of a product called PETerna in dogs and cats.
(www.peterna.com). The manufacturer lists its biologically active
molecules as lysozyme, lactoperoxidase, lactoferrin, and
immunoglobulins. It contains a spray dried powder made of bovine
colostrum not derived from serum or whey.
The product is manufactured in Canada and so I don't know if they have a
large market in the US.
If anyone has any information on this product, or has any first hand
knowledge in using this product on a ferret, please contact me.
