I have a fert who has had a bilateral adrenalectomy, the last being done 4-02. He still dribbles and has some thinning on his tail. His bloodwork back in August shows only that he is slightly anemic, everything else is the normal range. I have read where the anemia is an indication of adrenal. Am I correct in assuming this? He is relatively young, around four and I am leery about doing this a third time. He is on .3 of Florinef every three days.

Also, I have another bilateral adrenalectomy fert, the first bilateral was only partial due to the large size of the right and the vet couldn't cryo the whole mass at once. The second surgery showed that the adrenal grew even larger and we are pretty sure it was a carcinoma. Is a third surgery warrented here? What is the likelyhood of it coming back yet again? Can we do Lupron until he has put on weight? The surgeries were both in December 02. He is three years old and did very well with first two. He is still rapidly losing fur. He is on .3 of Florinef every three days.

My last question is about Lupron. Is Lupron compounded? At what dosage? I found a phone number in the archives to give to my vet to contact. He is trying to help our shelters but has no experience with Lupron. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Earlicks and toebitings to all,
