I have 2 female ferrets that have a need to compete against each other. Ali is the oldest, she is 2 years old and Willow is the younger one, she just turn 1. All together I have 5 ferrets that live together in this group. One older female and 2 males. I do have another male that has been so ill he is by himself.
Anyways these 2 females who have a lot of the same markings just have a need to get at the other ones back. I know ferrets drag young kits around by the neck but Ali still does this to Willow. I have seen Willow take Ali's toys and move them. I think they a both evenly at fault here. What Ali has for toys Willow wants only to agervate and Ali will contstantly follow Willow around the room and keep jumping at her. Then they both get going and when that happens there is a whole lot of chattering.
I normally just let them work it out but the one thing that really bother me is when Ali drags Willow across the floor or has her in a neck hold. Some times I think Ali thinks Willow is hers.

I have to mention her the Ali is smaller then Willow. She is the smallest of all the ferrets and has always been the one that got bet on. There are a lot of things she can not do that Willow and the other ferrets can. Because not only is Ali small but she has short legs. I do make it so she can do what the other ferrets do by having little things she can step on to get to the higher places.

But is it normally At Willows age for Ali to be dragging her?

I do not think either of them would ever really hurt the other really bad it is just nit pick things.
