Hi, Sarraya, and everyone else,
In my experience, your vet has this right. Hair loss on the tail with
no other symptoms doesn't mean adrenal. It's just rattail. Does he
have blackheads on his tail? Anyway, check the archives and you'll see
lots of posts on this.
Adric had the same thing happen. Eventually the hair grew back. We did
nothing about it except keep an eye on him. He most definitely did not
have adrenal disease or anything else seriously wrong with him. Come to
think of it, Adric never has had anything seriously wrong with him.
