Dear friends,
My Oscar has 3rd degree AV heartblock and is taking Enalipril and
Aminophylline. He has started what I believe is grinding his teeth, sounds
like he's chomping, trying to get the food he's just eaten out of his mouth.
How soon before giving him his heart meds can I give him carafate? How soon
before pred can he have it? He's taking that too. Also, without the black
stools, does the chomping mean an upset stomach, not ulcers? Is just carafate
sufficient? Should I give it and see what results we get before thinking we
need the 3 med protocol for ulcers? I haven't noticed him doing this at any
time other than right after he eats and then it's pretty short lived.
Thanks so much,
Tiffany and Oscar
