I've heard of people using Maxigel with success, too, but mine protest
it like little *fiends*. They do *not* like that stuff. I gave up on
it as it was too much stress on them AND their dad. It's actually an
oral cleansing gel; I don't know if it will help with active sores. A
vet would know better.
