Lenny will by 5 in March and to date has had no serious medical problems. =
His only issue is food. About 3 yrs ago he had a digestive problem, soft st=
ool and sometime small drops of clear liquid. Our vet group is very experie=
nced with exotics, she did a GI series on him to check for blockages and fo=
und only a small irritation on part of his intestine. She recommened a cha=
nge of diet to Eukanuba low residue adult cat formula and some Flagyl for a=
week. He had been on Totally Ferret which she believed is to rich for him.=
He has been fine ever since, that is until the past 5 months or so. He st=
opped eating the Eukanuba, went to the vet bought a new bag, he still would=
n't eat it all the time. He was eating Trixie's food, Totally Ferret. Went=
to the vet a they gave me some other prescription food, he wouldn't eat th=
at. I had received free samples from the Ferret Store of their food. He lo=
ved it for about 1 month then when back to Totally Ferret. Bought a new bag=
of the Ferret Store food ate it again for a while then stopped. They also=
sent me free samples of their all natural ferret food, real meat and potat=
oes and carrots etc. Originally Lenny wouldn't go near it but then he had t=
o have it. So I ordered a bag of the Ferret Store All Natural Food. He ate=
that for a while then stopped. For Christmas our neighbor bought our ferre=
ts a gift bag which included Totally Ferret for Older Ferrets, so I gave it=
a try. He also ate that for a while but now eats it on and off alternating=
with Trixie's Totally Ferret. =

The problem is he hasn't had consistantly good stool for months. Quite fran=
kly it stinks!! The best stuff for him was the Eukanuba or the Ferret Store=
's all natural food. I don't know if the constant change of food is the pro=
blem or if there could be something else wrong with him. I have no idea if =
I should try changing back to Eukanuba or the ferret store food. He is fin=
e in every other respect. I really don't know what to give him anymore. Any=
advice would be appreciated befor I make the call to my vet. Just a FYI, I=
donate the not eaten food to my wonderful neighbor who works at a animal h=
ospital and has, to date, 17 pets she adopted, 2 dogs, 5 ferrets and 10 cat=
s!!
Thanks

Roseann
