...i have a ferret that has adrenal problems...did exploratory sx and found=
nothign..vet says we need to repeat it in a year...shes losing her hair an=
d scratchin all the time...she is on melatonin also...i have another prob t=
hough...Zoe has been paying special attention to her litter box lately so i=
took a urine sample in... it was in the fridge for about a half an hour b4=
it was tested... i ran a test and it showed crystals!! everything else was=
really good...no blood or anything..her gravity was very high...(was very =
consintrated) which the dr said was normal for ferrets...she put zoe of tr=
ibrissin liquid .3 CC's 2x day.... she thinks that it might be bacterial an=
d that we should repeat urine test in 7-10 days.... my question..does this =
sound normal...what happens when ferrets get crystals... is there somthing =
else i need to be doing? she eats totally ferret.... this vet also said th=
at she thought this was somehow tied into the whole adrenal thing...which i=
am not sure of.... she is really losing her hair now and she still says th=
at we need to wait and repeat exploratory in about a year!... what do you m=
ake out of all of this if anything...how do ferrets get crystals anyway...i=
s it by the diet?
