My ferret has adrenal tumors...the tennessee panel has supprted this. She is losing hair, swollen vulva, and itching all the time. She had surgery about 6 months ago and the vet (that i work for) said that she could barely see the adrenal glands so she didnt want to take it out when she doesn tknow which one is the bad one. I have heard, "when in doubt-cut it out". Is this true in all cases? Zoe is 2 1/2 years old. The vet seems to think that she is too young and that we caught it too early to be able to tell anything and wants to wait a year after last sx to do it again. Do i need to get a second opinion on this? Do I need to have another vet to the surgery? Is it bad to wait this long when we know that she has it? Isnt she suffering when she is scratching ALL the time? Now she has crystals in her urine and was put on antibiotics...Please help!
