Roger,
When no other reason can be found for an overly aggressive male ferret's be=
haviour, our vet has used female hormone injections with good results and n=
o adverse side effects.
In one case that I know of, the injections were started at a minimal dose w=
hich was increased fortnightly until behaviour modification was achieved, t=
hen administered whenever the ferret lapsed into aggressive behaviour. Aft=
er about 3 months the biting "habit" had been broken and he is still alive =
and well (and gentle) 7 years later.
Just a thought.
