When our guys had coccidia (we first noticed it in Adric) theonly
symptom was persistent diarrhea. Our vet diagnosed it as coccidia from
a stool sample under a microscope, if I remember right. Coccidia can be
picked up from standing water or transmitted from animal to animal. If
one of your ferrets have it they *all* have to be treated. We treated
the eight we had at the time and, fortunately, only Adric and Romana
showed symptoms.

As usual, I must add that I'm not a vet, just a ferret owner who had a
diagnosis of coccidia.

Caity and the non-stop nine
