I've always heard that it's within 48 hours also but, in my own experience,=
it took about 2 weeks for symptoms to appear. It was probably another wee=
k after that before we felt comfortable with a diagnosis of ECE, after elim=
inating many other things and a consultation with a vet school (I kept push=
ing the issue). =
