Hi everyone, I'm new to the group, and I'm glad to find you.

Miso was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy March 2001. Our German vet wanted to find out if anyone is familiar with the use of Vetmedin (Pimobendane) on ferrets with cardiomyopathy. It apparently increases the amount of calcium in the heart muscle, lowers blood pressure and has good results in dogs and cats. I can't find any reference to it on the web as far as use on ferrets.

He had Miso on Digitalis but removed her from it about a month ago. Now she is on Lasix and Theophylline. We return at the end of March (unless something else happens) to evaluate how she is doing. He said Vetmedin will be the next step he takes, unless I find out something different.

Thanks for reading this, and in advance for your help.
