Hi, I got a couple responses earlier this week (and again - thank you!), bu=
t am still worried about my vet being able to figure this out because it's =
a little offbeat, and when I called in, all they mentioned was "allergies" =
(?). I looked in the archives and found a couple other cases from a Suzann=
e and a person from the e-mail of Witchblade w/ very similar sounding sympt=
oms, but my e-mail to Suzanne was undeliverable & no response yet from the =
other one. They were having trouble getting diagnosed, but I thought maybe=
they'd eventually figured out their problem. Bald spots are more than I e=
ven initially noticed...a couple on either sides of neck, one behind right =
front leg, and a bare-ish patch near but not right on tip of tail. Skin is=
"naked" there. You can see a little of the orangey stuff (produced by gla=
nds?) I saw reference to elsewhere, and maybe some very small pinprick-size=
d openings where the hairs came out. She's been sleeping more than usual, =
it seems, but maybe I'm just imagining this now because I'm worried. The t=
hing that seemed to make most sense (ears checked out OK) was the fur-mite =
idea (is that mange?), although I'm not sure where those would come from, o=
r how they'd be treated. Anyone have experience w/ that? Or any other ide=
as what it could be? I'm supposed to take her to the vet tomorrow. I know=
there's another ferret list out there, if someone knows how to cross-post =
this, & even use my e-mail, that would be fine unless you advise against. =
Thank you, I need answers kind of fast or I'm afraid I might not get adequa=
te help for her. Thanks again. -Jaime & Gypsum =
