Hi Katherine!

I agree I have seen soe older ferets who were blaze right now- Harry in
the shelter is deaf stone deaf silver blaze mitt is 6 plus years and just
had his spleen out- seems to be very much like any older ferret we have
had -- with normal health complications!

Farence was almost nine years old silver blaze ( hearing) and he died of
cancer ( retro bulbar tumor). He was bright right up until the last day--
after losing sight in the one eye 6 mos previous ( we thought it was a
cataract).

Personal ferrets Strider- a MF silver blaze passed away due to heart probs
age 7, and we do have another " Blue" who was a silver mitt / blaze - now
DEW light pattern age 7 (late alter) who has had NO ILLNESSES
whatsoever. No insulinoma, No adrenal nada yet ! ( I hope I do not regret
posting this!)

Although I understand some blazes have problems early in life here our
own & shelter kids have shown no difference in health or longevity.
