Actually, my little girl Gabrielle, who was originally "just" a panda but
who gradually developed a very distinctive and obivious blaze pattern,
will
turn 7 in April, Universe willing. :-) She, however, has *not* been in
good health. During the first two years of her life she had to have two
blockage surgeries because she is the most neurotic, hyper (although
also
hyper-intelligent!) little weasel I have ever seen. At three she was
diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and not given long to live. Surprise!
We
put her on lasix, dig, and enacard, and her heart actually got smaller on
x-ray. She is still going strong, still getting the same meds. At about 4
she developed the first signs of adrenal disease. We waited and
worried
about her heart, but finally we went ahead and had the operation and
she
pulled through fine. For a good while, at least a year, she recovered
and
showed no signs of adrenal, but about a year ago she began to lose
hair
again. Before Christmas we got her a 4-month depot lupron shot, and
she is
now business as usual again, furry and all.

We think she's just too ornery to go. LOL! Whatever the reason, I'm
happy
for it.
