Here in Germany I am told there is a problem with the martins getting into cars and chewing on the hoses, etc. They say it's more of a problem in Bavaria. In the Heidelberg area I have caught glimpses of wild ones (specifically what I haven't a clue, it was dark and they moved fast, but definately were ferrity) only twice.
