Hello everyone,
I am hoping for some guidance before arriving at my local vet today. The closest ferret knowledgable vet that I can find in the area is about 90 min away--so I like to be prepared when going to this gal..

LittlewhiteGirl has always sniffed hard through her nose. Her sniffing is very loud and often will sniff so hard she inhales dust, starts sneezing. We try and get there and rub her nose for her and help her out, but the sneezes are very forceful and she will ofen shriek. It obviously hurts and sometimes she will get a bloody nose. In December, when she ran down the hall you hear a "click click click" noise.
she has had chest xrays and a nasal xray in December with a knowledgable vet. He said the nasal passages were inflammed put her on benedryl 2x/day to help with the inflammation.

Well, now she has gone through the death of two cage mates, is a bit depressed, has sniffles for about 3 weeks now--and I'm afraid these sniffles are going to be more than she can handle.

Since Monday night, she sniffles now include congestion in her chest along with increased lethargy. I need to know to expect out of the vet today. Is there something we can put her on to help with the congestion?
I am goign to get bloodwork done anyway--she had insulinoma surgery last year. On top of that...what else can I do?
Is there one drug that is good for clearing up colds/congestion in a ferret?
This way when he recommends reg. ol' amoxi (has no effect on her) or "let's wait it out", I can counter with something else.

I am tryng to get an appt at a better vet for Sat, but due the fact he is such a good vet, it is hard to get her in when you are so far away..

Anwyay, thanks for any and all advice you can give me..
