As in "I am just 'roaing', not turning grey". LOL. I'm just kidding
around, I coulnd't resist. Yes, ferret's roan as they get older... some much
more than others. They get these whitish grey hairs sprinkled in various
areas of color. Its curious to me that many blazes (ones with a LOT of
white) can loose almost all their head pigmentation over time to appear like
a panda. But as Sukie said, genetically they are, of course, still blaze.
In appearence they look like panda. And whats really curious to me, is that
I have seen many ferrets that look almost black and white with absolutely
striking markings.... very defined sable and white markings as ferret aged
one year or younger, go almost as white as a marked white or silver tip by
the time they are three. Its can be really remarkable. Kat Parons had a
ferret named Eddie like this. My Ping did not have as remarkable a change,
but he virutally did. I see it a lot in the many photos people send me.
