It sure sounds like insulinoma. The way to know is to test the blood glucose and that is the logical first step.

If surgery is not possible then what makes sense is to use Prednisone or Prednisolone and possibly Diazoxide. Sometimes Diazoxide is given at the same time as Pred while at other times it is held back and added when Pred is not effective any longer.
