I am not a vet - but the best treatment I have seen for liver problems (at =
the advice of my vet) is non-alcoholic extract of Milk Thistle (3 drops, tw=
ice a day). I mix it in Duck Soup or Bob C's chicken gravy. It is excellent=
for acute liver infections, inflammations, successfully used to treat my h=
ubby's chronic elevated liver enzymes although they never found the underly=
ing cause... I have used it successfully without any noticable side effects=
in 7-8 ferrets so far ... don't know if it works in cirrhosis, but ... hop=
