I haven't had much luck with Melatonin by itself. Lupron has been very successful for my ferrets. 1 mg of the four month has worked wonders. You could try the monthly too and 100 mcg is the smallest dose I've heard being effective. Mine have responded quite well to 150 mcg when we were using the monthly version. There's no difference in the one month or the four month other than how long it lasts.
