Yes, eight years old is old. That's like 80 for you or me. Typical
ferret lifespan seems to be seven to nine years, although I have known a
few rare, exceptional ferrets that have lived to ages between 10 and 13.
If your ferrets are living to be eight or nine you are doing something
right :)

The usual disclaimer: I am not a vet, just a ferret owner with a couple
of old guys of her own :)
