If his behavior is similar to what it was before the increase -- if he is behaving according to his own personal "norm" -- I would not be inclined to be worried a this point.

We had a female who was normally very aggressive and she went down to her norm after surgery though it took her a little while, then she got worse again when her second adrenal had problems.

If he is getting worse again then I'd consider that perhaps the other adrenal had a problem that was so new that it didn't show up.

Do remember that a number of ferrets who lose both adrenals need to have either Florinef and Prednisone for their lifetimes or Percorten and Prednisone for their lifetimes.
