A After passing the hariball my ferret still refuses to eat and he just
isn't acting the same. I've kept giving him the hairball remedy and its
been about a week now. Can he just be stubborn or scared to eat? Should i
take him to my vet? Any help would be greatly appreciated .

Hi JOe--
I am NOT a vet- however my advice is :
Because your ferret passed a single harball it does not mean that it has
passed all the hair that is in there-. We have had 3 ferrets in 2002 with
hairball surgeries- each one had 3 large hair masses that looked like your
baby finger. It is also possible that the passing of the hairball caused
an abrasion of the gut / intestine. Please consult the vet a barium x-ray
would be high on my list of things to do-- and perhaps antibiotics in case
of an intestinal infection.

Good wishes
