Subject: Help for intact female that is in season.

Hello again everyone.

I am requesting information for someone who has adopted ferrets from me. She
currently has an intact female that is in season. The recommendation of her
vet is to give the ferret a hysterotomy. While this may be the best
resolution to the problem, at the moment her finances do not allow it.

I know there is a hormone shot out there that breeders will use to bring a
female out of season, but I'm not sure of what it is, or the amount to be
given. If anyone would be kind enough to pass this information along to me,
so that I can have my vet administer it, it would be a great help.

Thanks in advance,
