Frist let me state openly- I am NOT a vet-- though I have had experience
with some of the medical history you are reporting, so....

Vomiting can be exhibited when there is an acute infection. We have
seen
this with infected anal glands and also from a bladder infection in
male ferrets ( u8unnfortunately the bladder infection we suspected a
blockage and the poor critter had a gut exploratory when it was a bad
bladder infection prompted by a coitus interruption yes he was a breed
capable boy!)

Has blood been drawn CBC to rule out continued infection? It is
possible
there is still some underlying infection- possibly from retained anal
tissue etc. These procedures are not easy and can lead to
complications.
The other possibility is there may be some nerve damage form the
surgical
procedure which is not allowing him to control the hind end functions (
defecation ) correctly. This is always a possibility. I would recommend
further veterinary consult so the ferret does not suffer.

ONly a veterinary evaluation and some testing will help him through this
in
my opinion.
I send good wishes your way in the hopes he makes a speedy recovery.
