Someone somewhere aasked about this, so I hope it was here. I was interrupted and can't locate the question.
The single best thing we've personally used for dry skin on ferrets is plain old store brand virgin olive oil. Rub it in and then rub the excess off with a towel. It's a bit messy but it is safe and it is very effective.
