Subject: Sneezing ferret
Message-ID: <005001c2e1e1$ecec5e40$010000c0@maxx>
I had a ferret with severe sneezing attacks last October. She would sneeze=
so hard she would cry out. I had blood work done and found only her WBC e=
levated. She was treated the first time with amoxi for 2 weeks. She seeme=
d to improve towards the end of the treatment, but it soon started back up =
a couple days after treatment stopped. She was then put on Baytril twice d=
aily for 3 weeks and she improved. No relapses since then (knock on wood)
It was believed to be a sinus infection of some kind. (radiographs were no=
rmal too). None of my other ferrets got sick though.
Good luck!!
Sue
Three of my five ferrets have been sneezing a lot the last couple of days,
>they don't seem ill, more like a human with hay fever.
