Subject: depression?

So our two ECE ferts are recovering nicely, eating their gruel and drinking water by themselves. But tonight, our other adult seems a little off his food and slightly lethargic, although there is no sign of the green poop. He drinks and eats treats, but he isn't eating as much of his kibble, and isn't playing as much. Tomorrow I'll take him to the vet if he doesn't seem better, but in the meantime, I'm wondering if others have had this experience.

Could he be having a lesser reaction to the ECE, or could he be depressed because we have a new, bouncy ferret and/or his other friends are sick? He doesn't seem dehydrated, but he definitely isn't his usual snappy self. I am wondering what others think about this- have any of you with sick ferts seen the non-sick ones react in this way?

thanks,
Susan
