I'm not sure how long Lupron takes to kick in for this problem.
Propecia/Proscar seems to be the current favorite (in combination with
Lupron) for prostatic problems; that might be worth a try, although again
I'm not sure of the time frame. Here are a couple of posts by Dr. Jerry
Murray from the archives:

I can't answer about the kidneys, I'm afraid...

Stray thought: I wonder if a catheter into the bladder could be secured
in place for a long enough time to allow the drugs to kick in? It would
be messy, as urine would just dribble out and the ferret wouldn't have
control over it. It seems like I've seen or read about that, but I can't
place the memory. Maybe someone else knows, or maybe I'm misremembering.

Yes, the p/u surgery to reroute the boy ferret to pee out the back end can
work. I used to ferret sit a wonderful fuzzy who had had that surgery.

Good luck with this guy,
