While I will openly state i am NOT a vet- only a rescuer this is what I
know about adrenal males w/ prostate involvement and bladder problems:

This is an urgent matter - the ferret must get to the vet- the vet NEEDS to
asprirate (drain) the bladder - draw off the urine-- and likely run a
culture on the urine - The cause of this condition may be prostate
enlargement - or sediment causing the blocking & infection, etc. You need
to know what the exact cause is RIGHT AWAY so the proper meds can be givien
( antibiotic, flutamide or proscar for prostate condition. Otherwise the
urine can / will backflow to the kidneys and the ferret will become septic
and die!

While lupron helps in this case you will need to manage lupron and
flutimide/ proscar together after any infection is cleared up. It will
require a fine balancing act to provide a quality existence. We lost our
Rex at age 9 after being on lupron (monthly) for 14 months-- the last 4
months of the treatment required he be on flutamide and antibiotics as well.

Good luck!
