Subject: Carafate vs Pepto

Dear Friends,
I just read that Carafate acts as a 'band-aid" whereas Pepto actually kills
bacteria and cures the problem. We don't have any ulcer symptoms but my
little guy has started grinding his teeth. He's on 10mg of Prednisone which
I'm afraid is now causing his stomach to be upset. What is the best thing for
me to do for him in this case?
