I will not give both vaccines at the same time, for any reason. I have seen
my share of reactions when only one is given, and the chances of reaction, as
well as the severity of the reaction, seem to go up with more than one
vaccine. To me, the symptoms you described are consistent with a vaccine
reaction. The ferrets who have had reactions should be pre-treated with
Benadryl before their next vaccines, and the vaccines should be separated by
at least two weeks, IMO.
I know of colleagues that are comfortable giving both at one time, but I am
not.
