When doctoring one of my older ferrets (now at the rainbow bridge) for ulcers, I used Kaopectate. Tastes a heck of a lot better that pepto. He got so used to this he would take it out of a syringe as a treat. I was so proud of this boy.
Not a vet, just personal experiance.
