Wolfie has had chronic upper respitory andlung infections for several years.
Long story short is that Wolfie and all the others had psudomonus for a good year and a half before it was completely gone.
His lungs are shot.
He has been on all the usual antibiotics and then some, the last being zithromax.
I have been told for over a year now by 2 vets that he's not going to get better, I have to settle for maintaining him where he is now so he doesn't get worse.
I can't except that.
We have used several herbs under vet supervision. They are horehound, mullein, and slippery elm bark. There hasn't been any real improvement on any of the four.(Wolfie is the sickest}
We have talked about using very small doses of licorice root but I don't think I will because he is 5 and I think borderline adrenal.
Does anyone have any other suggestions to run by my vet?
I don't know what else to do but I don't want to give up.
Thank you for your time.
Lois
I forgot to tell that the get nebulized 3 times a day also.
