Hello again everyone. This might get long, but please read, I need help!!!=
! Awhile back I wrote reguarding how Goku was being rough with our new bab=
y Lou-Lou, who we've had since Novemeber. Through replies and monitioring =
their interaction, it seemed he was just wanting to show he was the boss st=
ill, probably stemming from his altercation with Jack, a visiting ferret. =
Last week I saw Goku dragging Lou-lou by her neck behind the dresser, and a=
few times, it seemed like he would lay on her back and start biting into h=
er neck and she starts yelling for help. They're all fixed, but I know tha=
t a sign of adreneal is trying to mate and being too aggressive. He seems =
to have a healthy weight and has no hair loss anywhere, but I also have hea=
rd they can show some signs and not others. Lou-lou's neck is completly wh=
ite, but now has spots in various places that are a redish-orangish color, =
which I'm sure is from him getting a hold of her and her trying to get away=
. He only goes after her when they're all in their big cage. They play fin=
e together, even sleep in the same bed, but at least twice a day he'll hurt=
her. As soon as I hear her starting yelling, I run and get him out of the=
cage and put him into the smaller one we have and check on her. I think h=
e's starting to realize that the smaller cage is the "time-out" cage. To av=
oid this during the day when I'm at school, Goku is in the small cage, and =
they are all let out when I get home. Depending on how they act depends on=
if he goes in the big or small cage at bed time. Thanks to my mom, I have=
her radar ears and can hear the first sound any of them make and instantly=
wake up. It seems at night he ok with her, but there are a few times wher=
e I put them all up for the night and I haven't even really left the room y=
et and he'll get after her. I love them all with all my heart, and I hate =
to put Goku in "jail" when he's bad, but I won't stand for him hurting Lou-=
lou. What should I do? Do they need time apart and just try to introduce =
them slowly again, or should I have him tested? Testing brings me to my ne=
xt problem. Lou-lou had her last shots this past Saturday and I talked to =
my vet about what was going on with Goku and showed him the spots on her ne=
ck, and asked about getting blood work done to see about adreneal. I asked=
him how they'd see if he had it and he said "Well we'll send the blood off=
and such and we'll just try to figure it out from there". Now, that sound=
s like an ok answer, but by the way he seemed to be kinda lost about what I=
was asking, I'm thinking he doesn't have a clue about ferrets, though I as=
ked him if he did the very first time I went in there with Goku over 2 year=
s ago. I asked if he would like ferret information that I get off this sit=
e and various others, and he was very receptive about it and said he would =
love to read stuff. Which again made me think he has no clue about ferrets=
, but at least he's willing to learn. I go back next month for my dog Samm=
y's annuals, and told him I'd bring stuff. So my question about this is, w=
hat sites should I go to, what all should I give him (I know, everything!),=
why doesn't he know anything about them, and what should I do about Goku? =
I don't want to have things done to him if he doesn't know what he's doing=
. Vets in Bowling Green, KY are few and far between, so my options are lim=
ited, though I would gladly drive to someone who knew what was going on. T=
his has been going on for about two months now and I can't take it anymore.=
Lou-lou is a very happy and bouncing baby, and doesn't seem to be affecte=
d by this yet, and I love on her every time he gets her to show her she's o=
k. I'm open to any suggestions. Feel free to email me or reply to the lis=
t, which ever is easier for you. Thank you all for helping me and my babie=
s. I don't know what I'd do without you!!
