Like you I am thinking inflammation from some cause, maybe a moving blockage like a huge fur ball, maybe a disease process or parasite (IBD, ulcers, coccidia, etc.), maybe a food intolerance.
What color are the stools? Black and tarry stools (or we found very dark green stools) can indicate blood in the stool.
Similarly digested blood can at times show up as being somewhat like coffee grounds in vomit.
Is Carafate (a prescription medicine) available in Mexico? There is a new liquid prep of it that may be worth discussing with your vet.
Have fecal tests been done?
