Subject: Those ole hormones?

I have a three year old male that had a left adrenalectomy. This was
like six weeks ago, very roughly. The vet said it was enlarged, but she's
seen worse. He had some mounting behavior, was starting to get aggressive,
had course hair, and was loosing hair. His right adrenal, evidently was
fine... as she said she couldn't even palpitate it, and hardly see it (if I
understood that right... she was confident it was fine anyway). I thought..
there was a significant change here. He grew back most of his hair already.
He stopped all agression. He's had some good weight gain. And I thought he
stopped that mounting. But the ferret he used to mount, well he was doing it
again! He was very nonaggressive about it (I used to have to pry his teeth
that would be clamped on the ferrets back of the neck), but he was doing it
really ... well you get the picture.
Now can this be normal. I mean I know it can take time for hormones
to calm down, but I thought they had.
