I know Dr. Williams and Bob C. are skeptical about ferrets developing
hip dysplasia....but I seem to have a case. Would either of you (or
any of the other docs) be interested in looking at copies of the rads?

I've seen the rads myself, and while I'm not trained to read them,
it's obvious even to me that his right hip socket is clean - there is
a smooth curve and a clean, even gap between the ball of the femur and
the acetabulum - but that the left is irregular, with flat spots in
the ball. We aren't aware of any trauma that could have caused this
damage, nor does there appear to be any sign of any trauma surrounding
the joint.

His hip is damaged without a doubt, but whether it is actually
dysplastic or not...I have to leave that to wiser minds than mine.

Any takers?
