Unfortunately, the same diseases found at a shelter are found more so at a
pet store! Most shelters at least vaccinate and hold for health problems
for at least 3 weeks. I would never adopt out a sick ferret, and most
reputable shelters are the same. Find one that tests for ADV, gives shot
records, and is willing to show the records of the ferrets in the shelter
