Thanks so much for the replies... I will try to get 4oz. of food in him today, and see how he is doing in the morning. I am also taking the hammock out of his cage tonight, and just adding more warm bedding to the floor, since he is unable to get back in the hammock once he gets out to try to get in the litter box.

It's really got me scared... he's literally not even walking now, but he's holding his head up, which he wasn't doing yesterday afternoon, so that's a teeny little improvement. I should go feed him again in a minute. His last feeding was at 6. I'm hoping he'll open his mouth a little easier this time.

Does anyone have a suggestion for getting the food in a little easier? I feel terrible having to pry his mouth open every time... If I could be sure of getting the tube down the right way, I'd try tube feeding instead, but I'd be even more afraid of screwing that up.

Is there an established IV support solution I could request from the vet? He doesn't seem to mind injections, and the way he is right now, I doubt he'd move a muscle if I went that route... it would be less stressful, I think.
