Hello,

I have 1 ferret I had to work with for months to get her eating again. She=
is allergic to food so most of what I fed her made her really ill. =

One of the things we used to perk her appetite was vitamin b shots. Ask yo=
ur vet about giving Zan a vitamin b inject once or twice a week. We also u=
sed anti nausea injects.

I had another lil male ferret who I struggled with quality of life issues a=
gain for months. The only thing he would do is sleep or eat, no other acti=
vity. But his little tounge would come out with such eagerness I could not=
put him to sleep. He wound up making a full recovery and even danced agai=
n. I have also had others that were in pain and frightened, the illness wa=
s well progressed and the pain would only get worse and I let them go.

As to your descision, you know your ferret better than anyone. Only you ca=
n judge Zan's pain and or quality of life against hope for his recovery. I=
t sounds as if you love Zan very much. Because of that love, be assured th=
at whichever way you decide, it will be the right descision as it was made =
in love FOR Zan.
