Again glad that you were awake. Actually, as I recall there has been Canine Distemper in at least one type of seal (Order Pinnepedia -- spelling since I am half asleep) or else concern that it might be behind a die off at one point though if it was just concern I don't know how it turned out.
I should have recalled the large felids. Besides considering the needs of ferrets during the development of the Purevax Canine Distemper Vaccine it was also designed for use in such creatures to better protect them. In fact, as far as I know, the ferret community first heard about that vaccine in before its testing was complete because a national zoo pathologist told a certain well known ferret pathologist who let the rest of us know... BTW, that is the vaccine we're currently using.
